Role Overview

We are hiring a Dental Billing Specialist to manage insurance claims, billing, payment posting, and patient accounts for a U.S.-based dental practice. This role is responsible for ensuring claims are submitted accurately and on time, outstanding claims are followed up on, and billing records remain accurate and up to date.

Location: Gulberg Greens, Islamabad
Time: Monday – Friday | US Hours
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days on-site

Role Details

  • Prepare, submit, and track dental insurance claims.
  • Review claims for accuracy before submission, including CDT codes, patient information, and required documentation.
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or delayed claims and manage appeals and corrected claims as needed.
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage ahead of appointments.
  • Respond to patient billing inquiries and assist with payment arrangements or payment plans where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of claim status and outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate with front-office and clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies and obtain missing information or documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient and billing records.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in dental billing, insurance claims, revenue cycle management, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of CDT codes and U.S. dental insurance processes.
  • Experience with dental practice management and/or billing software.
  • Understanding of insurance eligibility, claims processing, EOBs, denials, and payment posting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers, codes, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working U.S. business hours remotely.

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • Experience working with multiple U.S. dental insurance carriers.
  • Experience supporting multi-provider dental practices.
  • Familiarity with dental billing and practice management platforms such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
  • Background in medical billing in addition to dental billing.
