Overview

We are hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for patients and to support the smooth day-to-day operation of a U.S.-based healthcare practice. This role is responsible for coordinating scheduling, communication, and patient records so that both patients and providers experience a seamless, well-organized care journey.

Location: Gulberg Greens, Islamabad
Time: Monday- Saturday | US Hours (45 hours a week)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days on-site
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Details

  • Check patient eligibility and confirm insurance benefits ahead of every scheduled visit.
  • Read through payer policies and correctly distinguish between them.
  • Calculate what a patient will owe out of pocket [deductibles, copays, and coinsurance] and log this clearly in the practice management system.
  • Put together and submit prior authorization requests to insurance carriers, whether through online portals, fax, or by phone.
  • Go through clinical notes, lab results, and physician orders to confirm medical necessity is documented before an authorization is submitted.
  • Keep tabs on authorizations that are still pending, push back on denials through the appeals process, and fast-track anything urgent so patient care isn't held up.
  • Field calls to and from patients to book, move, or remind them about upcoming visits and routine checkups.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records within the practice's EHR/EMR system.
  • Act as the go-between for patients, providers, and insurance companies, resolving scheduling or coverage issues as they come up.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in U.S. healthcare operations - scheduling, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, or insurance verification.
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. insurance concepts.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Attention to detail
