Dental Billing & Claims Assistant
Job Description:
About Outsentia
Outsentia is a global talent and operations partner that helps US companies build high-performing teams abroad. We hire, employ and support great people, and match them with clients who want them for the long term.
About the role
Our client is a US dental business looking for its first offshore team member. You'll own the billing and insurance claims side of the practice: getting claims out the door clean, chasing what's outstanding and keeping patient balances accurate. This is a role where clear, confident communication matters as much as technical skill, because you'll work closely with the owner and the US team every day.
What you'll do
- Prepare and submit dental insurance claims accurately and on time
- Follow up on unpaid, denied or delayed claims and resolve them with insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments
- Post payments and keep patient ledgers and balances up to date
- Reach out to patients about balances when needed
- Keep clear notes and give the owner regular updates on claims and collections
What we're looking for
Must-haves
- 2+ years in US dental or medical billing, claims or revenue cycle work
- Excellent spoken and written English. You communicate clearly, ask questions early and keep people updated
- Working knowledge of insurance claims, EOBs, denials and appeals
- Detail-oriented and reliable with numbers and records
- Able to work US business hours
Nice-to-haves
- Dental-specific billing experience (CDT codes, dental insurance plans)
- Dental practice software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental
- Insurance verification or patient-facing phone experience
