Survey Programming Manager [Forsta / Decipher]

We are seeking a Survey Programming Manager to lead the design, execution, and delivery of complex survey programming initiatives across global clients. This role goes beyond hands-on programming—you will be responsible for team leadership, delivery excellence, process optimization, and client impact. You will oversee a team of programmers, drive quality and efficiency standards, and act as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:
Platform Expertise (Forsta / Decipher)

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Forsta (Decipher) across the organization
• Architect and review complex survey builds, including advanced logic, routing, quotas, validations, piping, and multi-language setups
• Establish and enforce best practices, templates, and scalable frameworks for survey programming

Custom Scripting (Python)

• Lead the development and governance of reusable Python-based scripting frameworks
• Review and approve custom scripts to ensure scalability, maintainability, and low risk
• Drive automation initiatives to improve speed, accuracy, and team efficiency

Front-End Styling (CSS / JavaScript)

• Oversee front-end quality and ensure alignment with client branding and UX standards
• Set guidelines for responsive design and cross-device compatibility
• Provide technical direction on complex styling and interactive elements

Operational & Team Leadership
Team Management & Development

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of survey programmers [junior to senior levels]
• Conduct performance reviews, provide structured feedback, and drive upskilling initiatives

Delivery Ownership

• Own end-to-end delivery across multiple projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and client expectations are met globally
• Act as the final escalation point for complex programming issues
• Balance resources and workload across the team to optimize efficiency

High-Priority Execution

• Lead response to urgent and high-impact requests with clear prioritization frameworks
• Ensure rapid issue resolution while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate risks, trade-offs, and mitigation plans to stakeholders proactively

Quality Control

• Ensure zero-failure logic and strict data integrity
• Conduct thorough QC checks: logic validation, soft launches, test cases, and end-to-end survey reviews

What Success Looks Like

• High-priority surveys are launched on time with minimal revisions
• Logic is stable, thoroughly tested, and reliable under tight timelines
• Handovers are clean, documentation is clear, and stakeholders stay informed
• Survey styling consistently meets brand and client expectations

Preferred Profile

• Proven track record in programming complex surveys in Forsta/Decipher
• Comfortable owning urgent requests and weekend programming support
• Strong attention to detail with a zero-defect mindset
• Clear communicator who can work smoothly across distributed teams
