About Outsentia

Outsentia is a global talent and operations partner helping companies build high-performing offshore teams in regions like Pakistan. From sales and customer success to engineering and research support, we help our clients find top talent and scale quickly, without compromising quality.

Our mission is to bridge exceptional global talent with fast-growing companies that need flexible, reliable, and cost-effective support.

We are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a U.S.-based research platform that leverages expert insights to produce institutional-grade investment research for financial services firms globally.

Technical Product Manager

Role Overview

We are hiring a Technical Product Manager to sit at the center of the client's research platform — the technology stack that powers expert sourcing, scheduling, research workflows, compliance monitoring, and report delivery. You will own the platform end to end: its workflows, data model, integrations, APIs, and the products built on top of them.

This role is best suited to someone who has worked in a growing or evolving product organization, where processes are still being built, priorities can shift, and the PM is expected to bring structure to ambiguity. You will be engineering's closest product partner, translating business needs into clear specifications and technical constraints into decisions stakeholders can understand.

You should be comfortable in a system design discussion, a stakeholder meeting, and a Claude prompt. This is not an engineering role, but we expect enough technical fluency to meaningfully engage with developers, understand data and architecture decisions, and independently investigate product questions using SQL.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap (~30%)

Own the end-to-end product and platform roadmap across expert network tools, scheduling, research workflows, compliance systems, integrations, and supporting platform capabilities.

Partner with leadership and engineering to translate company strategy into product priorities, technical milestones, and measurable outcomes.

Bring structure to an evolving product environment by establishing prioritization frameworks, clear requirements, and repeatable product processes.

Balance user needs, business priorities, engineering effort, technical debt, scalability, compliance requirements, and long-term platform health.

Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, including relevant data, integration, edge-case, and technical requirements.

2. Discovery & Stakeholder Management (~25%)

Serve as the primary product liaison to research, compliance, operations, leadership, and engineering.

Run stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions, turning loosely defined problems into structured product requirements.

Communicate roadmap decisions and technical trade-offs clearly, including making the business case for architecture, migration, infrastructure, or technical debt work when it competes with new feature development.

Manage competing stakeholder priorities and confidently push back when necessary, using user impact, business value, risk, and technical constraints to support decisions.

3. Technical Execution & Delivery (~25%)

Partner closely with engineering across discovery, scoping, development, testing, rollout, and post-launch measurement.

Be comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, relational databases, data models, system architecture, migrations, technical debt, scalability, and performance.

Define and track product KPIs and be able to independently query product data using SQL.

Expected SQL knowledge includes practical understanding of joins, aggregations, filtering, subqueries/CTEs, and relational data structures — including being able to explain when and why different joins or approaches would be used.

Own launch readiness, migration planning, documentation, stakeholder communication, and post-launch measurement.

4. Applied AI & Workflow Innovation (~20%)

Actively use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar to accelerate research, PRD writing, analysis, prototyping, workflow design, and technical exploration.

Identify opportunities to embed AI into the platform, including transcript analysis, research summarization, compliance workflows, expert screening, and internal automation.

Prototype AI-enabled workflows where practical and define appropriate evaluation criteria, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or another relevant field.

3–7 years of product management experience, preferably in a startup, scale-up, or growing product organization where the candidate has had to operate with incomplete information, changing priorities, and limited existing process.

Experience with technically non-trivial products such as platforms, APIs, data products, workflow tooling, B2B SaaS, financial services, or research products.

Experience taking products through 01 or early growth stages is highly desirable.

A background in engineering, data, business analysis, solutions architecture, or technical consulting is a strong plus.

Technical Aptitude – Required

You do not need to ship production code, but you should be able to reason independently about software systems, data models, APIs, integrations, and architectural trade-offs.

Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication flows, webhooks, relational databases, and third-party integrations.

Comfortable writing SQL against a real schema and explaining the practical use of joins, aggregations, filtering, and related concepts.

Able to understand and discuss technical debt, platform migrations, scalability, reliability, and performance in both engineering and business terms.

AI Fluency – Required

Demonstrated use of Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools as part of day-to-day work.

Ability to use AI effectively for research, documentation, analysis, prototyping, and workflow improvement while critically evaluating outputs.

Working understanding of how LLM-powered features are designed and evaluated, including context, retrieval, hallucination risk, quality thresholds, and human review.

Product & Analytical Skills

Strong product judgment and ability to break ambiguous problems into structured, actionable work.

Comfort making decisions with incomplete information and introducing structure where processes are not yet mature.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data, user insight, business impact, and technical constraints to make prioritization decisions.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Excellent written and verbal English.

Ability to translate between business and engineering audiences and explain not just what should be done, but why.

Comfortable pushing back respectfully on stakeholders and engineering when priorities conflict.

Ways of Working

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.

Bias to action: understand, prioritize, prototype, ship, measure, iterate.

Why Join Us?

Own a critical, high-visibility product at a growing U.S. research platform serving global financial services firms.

Work directly with senior leadership, research, compliance, operations, and engineering.

Help shape both the product and the product processes as the organization continues to grow.

Work in an AI-forward environment where experimentation, technical curiosity, and continuous improvement are actively encouraged.
