About Outsentia

Outsentia is a global talent and operations partner helping companies build high-performing offshore teams in regions like Pakistan. From sales and customer success to engineering and research support, we help our clients find top talent and scale quickly, without compromising quality. Our mission is to bridge exceptional global talent with fast-growing companies that need flexible, reliable, and cost-effective support.

We are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a U.S.-based AI startup that builds reinforcement learning environments: realistic replicas of real websites where the world's leading AI models train to complete everyday tasks, like booking a flight or placing an online order.

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan (Outsentia office)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 1 to 5 years in software development
Hours: Preferred 6 PM to 3 AM PKT; 4 PM to 1 AM PKT also acceptable

Role Overview

The client's pipeline automatically generates near-perfect clones of real websites, including front ends and back ends. As an AI Environment Engineer, you will take each clone the last mile. You will pick up tickets describing defects, use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to fix them, and validate that the full user journey works with 100% visual and functional fidelity to the real site. This role suits an early-career engineer who is fast, detail-oriented, and fluent in AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick up structured tickets, each with the issue, a cloned website, the real website as reference, and a recording of the original workflow
  • Fix front-end defects such as broken search bars, misplaced elements, and styling or layout mismatches
  • Resolve back-end gaps and data issues so the clone behaves like the real site
  • Walk the full task journey end to end after each fix and catch any remaining gaps
  • Compare the clone against the reference site and recording until visual fidelity is exact
  • Work through a high volume of tickets efficiently, improving speed as you learn the process
  • Communicate blockers and recurring issues to the client's engineering team over Slack

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 1 to 5 years of experience building or debugging web applications
  • Solid fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus working knowledge of a modern framework such as React
  • Basic back-end understanding: APIs, databases, and how front ends and back ends connect
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) to ship and debug code
  • Sharp eye for visual detail and pixel-level accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently through a ticket queue
  • Good written English for async communication

Nice to Have

  • Experience with QA, end-to-end testing, or browser automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
  • Familiarity with browser dev tools for debugging UI and network issues
  • Personal or freelance projects involving web scraping, cloning, or UI replication
  • Interest in AI, machine learning, or model training

What We Offer

  • Full-time employment through Outsentia, with payroll, HR, and IT handled for you
  • Hands-on work building training environments for some of the world's leading AI labs
  • Daily use of cutting-edge AI coding tools in a real production pipeline
  • Office space, equipment, and technical support from the Outsentia team in Islamabad
  • Competitive monthly compensation

Hiring Process

  1. HR screen with Outsentia
  2. Take-home technical assessment (10 real tasks, completed at home)
  3. Technical interview with the Outsentia engineering team
  4. Profile and assessment review by the client
